Using the information you provide on the "Your Ancestor" page or via email to:
mytrip@rootsbound.com, we create a personalized, unique trip of 7 to 10 days with an
emphasis on the cultural and historical points of interest to be visited.
If you want your existing research verified or want new research done, we arrange for that
research to be done in the country you will be visiting. We have that research done by
local professional genealogists in order to provide the maximum accuracy and local history
possible (please allow 4-6 weeks for the completion of the genealogy research). The
genealogy research ranges in price from $300.00 to $600.00 depending upon the time
required to complete the research. We will advise you of that price before beginning the
research.
If you wish, during your trip, we will arrange for you to meet with the genealogist that
conducted your research to answer any questions or conduct any additional research.
In addition to any genealogy information we provide, we book your travel and lodging. We
also provide maps and historical background for the area being visited.
We finalize the itinerary for your trip and send you the genealogy report and itinerary for
your review and approval.
Upon receipt of your approval, we arrange lodging in the destination country based on
your personal preferences.
We arrange car, air and rail transportation (including limousine services or classic cars, if
requested) in the destination country.
If you wish, we will arrange for a guide. The guides are contracted through the local
tourism offices in the country you are visiting.
We provide dining and entertainment for the night of arrival. If you are interested, we will
arrange a guided trip in your arrival city.
We provide a mobile phone for your use. This includes a local contact number in the event
of an emergency.
You have the optional use of a digital camera to photograph the places visited. The
pictures are used to create a unique photo album to document the trip. Copies can be
created in various formats to allow you to share your experiences with family and friends.
If you have a special interest or activity you would like to pursue (such as Golf) let us know.
At present, we specialize in trips to the UK, Scotland and Ireland. Additional countries are
available on request.
